Welcome to Clarity Optometry, a locally-owned eye care clinic on the outskirts of Old Torrance. We have proudly been providing the South Bay area with high-quality, family-friendly eye care since 2016!

Our name, Clarity Optometry, not only refers to our passion for your eyes and vision but also refers to our commitment to transparency. Our practice is built on honesty and integrity because we believe you should trust your medical team. If you have questions, we do our best to answer them as openly as possible.

How We give Back

Dr. Flores’ responsibility as an eye care professional and passion for accessible eye care extends beyond the 4 walls of the clinic. Since 2017, Dr. Flores has been an active volunteer for the Phillippine Medical Society of Northern California (PMSNC) and has joined them on their annual medical missions.

PMSNC is a non-profit organization of like-minded physicians, dentists, optometrists, pharmacists, nurses, therapists, technologists, students, and other medical and non-medical professionals devoted to bringing medical services to various locations in the Philippines.

In January 2020, Dr. Flores and her husband participated in a medical mission in their parents’ hometown of Cavite, Philippines, a humbling and rewarding experience for them both.

Meet Your Optometrist

Dr. Irene Flores, O.D.

Dr. Flores is a South Bay local—born and raised in Carson and graduated from Bishop Montgomery High School in Torrance. She attended the University of California, Irvine, where she completed a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences in 2008. Dr. Flores then advanced to pursuing her doctorate at Southern California College of Optometry. She earned her Doctorate of Optometry in 2012, graduating with summa cum laude honors.

During her training, Dr. Flores completed internships at Southwestern Eye Center in Arizona, the Optometric Center of Los Angeles, the Naval Medical Center of San Diego, and the EyeCare Center in Fullerton. She is glaucoma certified and licensed to use therapeutic and diagnostic pharmaceutical agents to treat and manage ocular conditions.

Dr. Flores’ exposure from working alongside experienced optometrists and ophthalmologists has given her optimum experience in primary care, contact lens fittings, diagnosis and treatment of ocular conditions, and LASIK and cataract surgery co-management.

Dr. Flores feels fortunate to be back in the South Bay area serving the community she grew up in. She has a passion for providing honest, quality service to all her patients and truly enjoys building life-long relationships caring for their vision.
